Squirm.io skins: the full list and how to unlock every one

Every Squirm.io worm skin is cosmetic and unlocks by playing. Most are earned on the length you reach in a single run, in tiers by rarity, and can also be bought in the Burrow with gold Nuggets you collect in the arena. The character worms are bought with Nuggets. A few seasonal skins unlock with one video. Nothing costs real money.

How Squirm.io skins unlock

There are 96 skins on this page, and four ways to unlock them:

  • 8 starter colours — available immediately, first game, no conditions.
  • 52 single-run skins — reach a target length in one life, from 10k up to 200k.
  • 23 character worms — bought with Nuggets in the Burrow.
  • 4 rewarded-video skins — one-time seasonal unlocks in exchange for watching a video ad.

And a fifth that skips the wait: 76 of them can be bought outright with Nuggets in the Burrow. Nuggets are the gold you pick up in the arena and earn from achievements, the daily gift and the prize wheel. The rarest skins cannot be bought at all — they have to be earned.

Your skins are saved to the guest account the game makes for you the first time you play. The key to it lives in your browser, so clearing your browser data or switching device starts you back at the starter colours.

Character worms and the Burrow

The Burrow is Squirm.io's wardrobe and shop, on the menu screen. It shows every worm you own and every one you can get, with how to get it, and lets you mark favourites. The 22 character worms are its showpieces: painted creatures with their own head, body and tail, rather than a colour scheme laid over the standard worm.

The Burrow is also where your worm gets its face. There are 13 eyes and 13 mouths to mix and match, 4 of them free from the start and the rest bought with Nuggets, and every skin and character wears the face you pick. Power-up upgrades and charges are sold there too, for Nuggets.

Arena floors and food themes

Skins change your worm; floors and food themes change the arena you see. There are 46 arena floors, from plain mud and felt to deep space and coral reef, and 17 food themes, including Classic, Glow Beads, Sweet Shop and Junk Food. 16 of the floors unlock as your level rises, a few on your total length, and the rest are bought with Nuggets in Settings; food themes work the same way, by level or for Nuggets. Some are seasonal and only on offer for part of the year. Like skins, they are cosmetic: they change how the arena looks to you and nothing about how it plays.
