Who we are

Squirm.io is made and run by Pranksters LTD, 20-22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU, United Kingdom (company number 94888825); "we" and "us" means Pranksters LTD. These terms cover the game on squirm.io, on games websites such as CrazyGames, and in our apps for iPhone, iPad and Android. How we use information is in our privacy policy. Age

Squirm.io is made for players aged 13 and over. If you are under 13, you may only play with a parent's or carer's permission. Parents and carers are responsible for their children's use of the game.

A free game, in beta

• Squirm.io is free to play. In our apps you can choose to buy Nuggets and the Starter Pack (see below); you never have to.
• It is in beta: it is still being built, and things may break, change or disappear.
• We may change the game, reset leaderboards, take it offline for a while, or stop it. We'll try to give notice, but can't always promise to.
• The game is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it running well, but can't promise it will always be available, free of bugs or free of lag.

Play fair

Squirm.io is only fun if everyone plays by the same rules. Don't:

• use cheats, hacks, modified versions of the game, or tools that give you an unfair advantage;
• use scripts or programs that play for you;
• use bugs or glitches on purpose to get ahead (tell us about them instead);
• try to overload, attack, slow down or break into our servers;
• get onto a leaderboard or the Hall of Fame any way other than playing;
• bully, threaten or harass other players, including through your nickname.

If you break these rules, we may disconnect or block you, ban your account, remove your name from the leaderboards, reset your progress or take away what you have unlocked, or take other steps to protect other players. Our server also disconnects a device that sends far too many messages at once.

A banned account cannot join games, its games stop counting, and its names are taken off the leaderboards. A ban is on the account, never on an internet address. If you think a ban is a mistake, email support@squirm.io.

Nicknames

Your nickname is shown to everyone. It must not be rude, hateful, sexual or threatening; pretend to be someone else (another player, a famous person, a streamer or one of our team); include your real name or other personal details (for your own safety); or advertise anything or include web addresses. Our server replaces names containing rude words with "Worm" so you can still play, and we may rename or remove any name, or any Hall of Fame entry, that we think breaks these rules, without warning. Nobody owns a nickname: two players can use the same one.

Leaderboards and the Hall of Fame

The live leaderboard and the all-time Hall of Fame are public. We may remove entries that break these rules or that someone asks us to remove, and we may reset the boards. A place on a leaderboard has no value and can't be claimed or transferred.

Your account, levels, Nuggets and unlocks

• Your progress is saved to a guest account, which lives in the browser or app you play in: clear your browser data, delete the app, change device or use private browsing and you'll start a new one, and we can't move the old one for you. Signing in with Google, Apple or Discord keeps your progress on every device, and it is optional. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so don't share it.
• When you sign in, your guest progress is moved into your account: your games, the Nuggets you picked up in the arena, your unlocks and your purchases. A guest account less than three days old brings what it earned and bought, but not Nuggets it was only given, such as video rewards and achievement rewards. Those are paid once to each account.
• The first time you sign in with a Google, Apple or Discord account, you get 2,500 Nuggets. It is paid once for each such account, so erasing your game and signing in again does not pay it twice. Like all Nuggets, it has no cash value.
• You can delete your account at any time with Erase in the game's settings (Settings, then Account), or on our delete account page. It can't be undone, and anything you bought with it goes too.
• Your level comes from the games you play. Nuggets are gold you collect in the arena and earn from achievements, the daily gift, the reward wheel and rewarded videos, or buy in our apps; you can spend them on looks such as skins and backgrounds, and on power-up upgrades and charges.
• Skins, backgrounds and other looks only change how things look. They never make your worm stronger.
• Nuggets, levels, power-up upgrades and charges, and unlocks have no cash value, and can't be sold, swapped, traded, transferred to another player or exchanged for anything, even if you paid for the Nuggets. Nuggets are a licence to use them in the game, not money, and not a store of value.
• We may change, rebalance or remove items, prices, levels and Nuggets, and we may take them from anyone who breaks these rules.
• On games websites, nothing can be bought, and Google, Apple and Discord sign-in is not offered.

Buying in the apps

• In the iPhone, iPad and Android apps, you can buy packs of Nuggets and the Starter Pack (Nuggets and an exclusive skin, bought once and restorable on a new phone). Prices are shown in your own currency by the store, before you buy, and include any tax the store adds.
• The payment is taken by Apple or Google, under their terms; we never take a payment and never see your card. Nuggets and the Starter Pack's skin are added to your account when the store confirms the purchase, and you can only use what you buy in the account you bought it with.
• You must be old enough to make the purchase under the store's rules, or have the permission of the person who owns the payment method. Don't use someone else's without their permission.
• Refunds go through the store. Ask Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play (your order history). The store decides, under its own rules and the law where you live. If a purchase is refunded or taken back, we take the Nuggets back from your account, and the Starter Pack's skin, and your Nugget balance can go below zero until you earn it back; we don't take away anything else you have already bought, and we don't ban an account for a refund.
• If you are a consumer, you may have a legal right to cancel a digital purchase, which ends once the Nuggets have been delivered at your request and you have agreed that it does; nothing here takes your legal rights away.
• We keep a record of each purchase (see the privacy policy), also after your account is deleted, without any link to you.

Adverts

Squirm.io is paid for partly by adverts. In our apps and on our website you may choose to watch a video for a reward, such as a second life or extra Nuggets; you never have to watch one to play. If an ad doesn't finish, the reward isn't given. You will also see full-screen adverts between games (never after your first game of a visit, and at most one every few minutes), which you can't choose, but which never appear during a game. On games websites, that website decides which ads appear. How adverts use information, and how to say no to personalised ones, is in the privacy policy.

Notifications

Our apps can send you notifications, but only if you allow them on your phone. You can switch each kind off in the game's settings or in your phone's settings, at any time.

Games websites and app stores

If you play on a games website, or get our app from the App Store or Google Play, that website's or store's own terms also apply. Where theirs and ours disagree about their website or store, theirs win. For the iPhone and iPad app, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement applies as well: Apple is not a party to these terms, is not responsible for the app or for supporting it, and can enforce the agreement against you as a third party. Any question about the app is for us, not Apple.

Our game and content

The Squirm.io name, logo, game and artwork belong to Pranksters LTD; the music and sound effects are other people's work, released for anyone to use (see our credits). You're welcome to play, share links, stream, and make and post videos of the game. Don't copy, sell or republish the game itself, or pass it off as yours.

Our responsibility to you

Squirm.io is in beta, so we can't accept responsibility for things like lost progress, lost Hall of Fame places, or the game being unavailable. If something you paid for in an app doesn't arrive, tell us at support@squirm.io and we will put it right or point you to the store for a refund. Nothing in these terms takes away your legal rights as a consumer, or limits our responsibility where the law says it can't be limited.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the game changes. When we do, we change the date at the top, and if a change is important we'll say so in the game, under the bell. If you keep playing after a change, you're agreeing to the new terms.

The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, Northern Ireland or elsewhere, you may also be able to bring a claim in your local courts.
