Delete your Squirm.io account

In the app

If you have the Squirm.io app, or play in a browser, this takes a minute:

1. Open the game and tap the cog for Settings.
2. Open the Account tab and find Erase everything.
3. Press Erase, read the warning and press Continue.
4. Type ERASE and press Erase everything. It can't be undone.

On the web, without the app

You don't need the app to delete your account. Pick whichever of these fits.

Ask us to delete it

If this browser holds no account to erase (you don't have the app, you play on another device, or this browser has lost the account), tell us which account and we will delete it within one month. A guest account has no name or email on it, so we can only find it from what you tell us: your nickname and roughly when you played. If you signed in with Google, Apple or Discord, say which.

Thanks, your request is with us. If you left an email, we'll reply there, and we'll delete the account within one month.

What is deleted at once

• The account itself and its sign-in details, and any session on any device. If you signed in with Apple, the sign-in is cancelled with Apple too.
• Every game you played, your best length and totals, your XP and level, and your place on the Today, This week and All time leaderboards.
• Your Nuggets, the ledger of every change to them, your unlocks and bought looks, your power-up upgrades and charges, and your daily gift record.
• Your event progress and the records of games played with friends.
• The random codes we gave your account for store purchases and for rewarded videos.
• In the apps, your phone's notification address and the record of the notifications we sent it.
• In the browser or app you erase from, everything Squirm.io saved on the device.

What we keep, and for how long

• Purchase records. For each purchase in the apps: the store, the store's transaction number, the pack and the date. The link to your account is removed, so the record is not about you any more. We keep it so the same purchase can never be paid out twice and so that our accounts and refunds stay correct, for as long as the law requires accounting records to be kept (six years in the UK).
• The sign-in log. Counts only (a sign-in happened, it worked, a bonus was paid). Your account codes are removed from it.
• A scrambled one-way version of your Google, Apple or Discord ID, if you ever signed in, so the first-sign-in bonus can't be claimed twice. It can't be turned back into your ID or into you.
• A ban, if your account was banned: the account's random code, a short reason and the date, for as long as the ban lasts.
• The Hall of Fame. If your worm reached it: the nickname, the length and the day. It stays until a longer worm pushes it off, and we remove it on request.
• Messages to support, including this request: up to 12 months after our last reply.
• Apple, Google and your games website keep their own records of your purchases, sign-ins and ads under their own policies; deleting your Squirm.io account does not delete those.
